Nowadays, the name Wall Street also refers to ‘influential financial interests’ I the United States and also to the financial industry in the New York City area. Several exchanges like the NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, NYMEX, and NYBOT are headquartered on Wall Street. The Wall street Journal, the influential international daily business newspaper, had the widest circulation of any US newspaper until USA Today acquired that position.
